Everything we do is customized to fit the needs of a specific client.
We begin with an initial meeting to assess a company's needs and
then design the scope of the work based on that assessment. We prefer
to work on a retained basis so that we can devote focused time to
each client's specific issues.
Typically, we contract with clients for a given number of hours
per month, over a period of 6 to 12 months. We can also work on
a daily basis if a client's needs are shorter term, although we
believe this is generally less beneficial than a longer engagement.
After the initial assessment, we provide the client with a "letter
of agreement," outlining the terms of the engagement, scope
of the work, timeframe, responsibilities of each party, rate for
the work, and payment terms. Once this letter has been approved
and signed by both parties, we begin the work and continue according
to schedule. Because all of our work is relationship-based, we build
ongoing evaluation into the consulting process. We welcome suggestions
for improvement and honest feedback. Many of our clients have been
with us since 1997.
Finally, because of the personalized way in which we work, we believe
that a successful consultative relationship requires good fit and
trust on both sides. To assess this potential, we offer a free discussion
hour to prospective clients, either by phone or in person. During
this time, we talk about your issues and concerns. This conversation
allows you to "try before you buy" and us to assess whether
we are the appropriate resource to meet your needs. If we are, we
can then move forward; if not, we'll try to refer you to someone
else. |
